You can get a free copy of your credit report every twelve months regardless, and can obtain a copy if: you have been denied credit, insurance, or employment within the last 60 days,
you’re unemployed and plan to look for a job within 60 days, you’re on welfare, or your report is inaccurate because of fraud. Otherwise they can charge you up to $9 for a copy.
