There are of two types: 1) Training access, and education grants which are awarded for projects that benefit, target, and are developed by women between the ages of 15 and 30, with an emphasis on low-income women, women of color and lesbian and bisexual women. Projects with budgets exceeding $500,000 are rarely supported. grants range from $100 to $5,000; and 2) Emergency grants which fund travel, accommodation, and abortion procedures on an on-going and immediate basis. Also, grants are awarded to organizations that grants money directly and immediately to young women in need of abortions.
