Working with an extensive network of volunteers, Rebuilding Together provides home rehabilitation and preservation for those who are elderly, disabled or low-income homeowners. In addition to major rehabilitation projects, this organization provides emergency year-round services in most areas. Disabled homeowners can receive assistance in building ramps, installing grab bars while other homes are repainted, cleaned and weatherized. All repairs are FREE to the homeowner; labor and many of the supplies are donated. The agency also hosts a National Rebuilding Day the last Saturday of April in which major rehabilitation efforts are carried out. A national non-profit organization, Rebuilding Together has affiliates in over 865 cities and towns across the U.S. working to rehabilitate houses and non-profit facilities.
