Not everyone has books at home to read. The First Book program is a national organization focusing on getting books into the hands of children from low-income families. In the past three years, over 20 million new books have been distributed. Books are given to the program through donations from children’s book publishers, services donors, and volunteers. To receive books for your program you may contact either a First Book Advisory Board that may be in existence in your community or you can contact the National Book Bank.
