A recent study shows that when a senior calls the Medicare Hotline they get the wrong answer or no answer 39% of the time. And when a physician calls they get the wrong answer 96% of the time. If you want to get a power wheelchair and contact Medicare to see if you are eligible, this report says that your answer should be ?A physician must prescribe the power wheelchair or determine it to be medically necessary, and a power wheelchair requires a co-payment on the part of the Medicare beneficiary.
