Low-Cost Health Care for Native Americans

The Indian Health Service provides healthcare services to over 1.5 million Native Americans and Alaskan Natives at a reduced charge. Services include hospital, medical and dental care, environment health and sanitation services, outpatient services, mobile clinics, public health nurses, and preventive care, including immunizations. They cover approximately 60% of the costs. The website provides links to local area offices and facilities. To receive these services you must be a member of a federally recognized tribe.
