Keystone Grants, Inc. provides qualifying homebuyers with gifts of free money to cover the down payment and closing costs attached to the purchase of a new home. The Keystone Plan includes a detailed plan of action for an interested homebuyer, from first pre-qualifying for a mortgage programs that allows the use of gift funds, to choosing an affordable home through a realtor, to approaching a seller about participating in the Keystone Plan and making an offer, to, lastly, completing gift applications and receiving funding. NO cash reserves or payment is required on the part of the buyer. The home’s seller must agree to pay to Keystone the amount of the gift and a fee of $800 for resold homes and $600 for new homes. Required documents include the seller’s Keystone Plan Property Enrollment Form, an addendum to the home sales contract, mortgage originator sign-up form (required to access gift requests) , and gift request and letters to be completed by the lender and signed by the buyer. Keystone promises to have funding available for a closing that is only 24 hours away! No set limit on gifts ? determined by mortgage and buyer’s need.
