If you are 55 years old or over, have a low-income and having trouble finding a job, the Senior Community Service Employment Program (SCSEP) may be able to help. The federal government provides job and educational training by placing seniors into community and government agency jobs for up to 20 hours a week. The job assignments may include positions at the library, schools, recreation facilities, maintenance and any other services essential for the community. These opportunities may then lead to non-subsidized jobs and higher pay.
