The Neighborhood Assistance Corporation of America (NACA) offers very low-interest, flexible mortgages, often with NO down payment requirements, to homebuyers across the country. The NACA program focuses on families who could not access conventional financing, borrowers that have credit problems, or no credit history, and borrowers that do not have substantial savings or income. NACA works with low- and moderate-income buyers for as long as it takes to qualify for a mortgage, provides hands-on assistance throughout the buying process, and also provides post-purchase services that may include financial assistance with mortgage payments, if needed. The organization offers a comprehensive homebuying education and counseling at many of its office locations.
Mortgage financing is available for one to four family properties, condos and co-ops. These may be existing homes, new construction, or manufactured homes. A special program for the purchase of homes needing renovations is also offered. Mortgage interest rates are one point below market. Loans feature flexible underwriting terms. To be eligible for a NACA mortgage, a borrower must meet income guidelines, attend homebuyer education, and purchase a home that meets price limits.
